This one is from a shipwreck that washed up on Carova Beach.  You can barely see it from the photo, but it has a circular wooden peg in it.  They stopped using wooden pegs a long time ago.  Bottom line, this is an antique.  A piece of Outer Banks history. This one belongs above a fireplace.  It is a Mantel.  Period.
